Sant Antoni, Barcelona’s latest cool district

Some years ago, Sant Antoni was a decadent district near the center of Barcelona, without any atraction and full of empty comercial premises. Now, the streets of Sant Antoni have a lively atmosphere and the former empty premises have became «slow food» restaurants, vintage furniture stores or independent designer shops.

Hipsters have invaded Sant Antoni streets, taking pictures of every corner with instagram, searching for trendy pubs or drinking the latest «city’s best gintonic».

What happened 15 years ago with the district of La Ribera (El Born) becoming the coolest district in Barcelona, seems recurring again in Sant Antoni.

Don’t miss the Calders Bar and the Café Cometa in Parlament st., Zuckerhaus, a german backery also in Parlament st., the swedish restaurant Pappa Sven in Villarroel st., or the Moritz Brewery Bar in Ronda Sant Antoni.
