FAD Awards
The awards were founded to promote avantgarde flows and to recognize the quality of those new ideas that arose against traditional ways of expression.
Since 2006 there are five categories of awards: architecture, interior design, landscape and city, ephemeral interventions and thinking and critique.
The winners have been both national and foreign architects, among others Coderch, Bohigas, Bonet, Correa i Milà, Sert, Clotet i Tusquets, Miralles i Pinós, Isozaki, Foster, Taglibue…
The winners of the 55th edition of 2013 (with four categories) were among others Toni Gironès Seró for the category of architecture with a multifunctional cultural center, Anna Puigjané for the category of interior design with the renewal of a house and studio and RCR Arana Pigem i Vilalata for the category of Landscape and City. All this projects show that the quality of Catalan architecture is really high despite the crisis.
