First passive house in Spain

Architect Josep Bunyesc has designed a passive house that saves up to 90% energy.

The house has been built in Lleida (Catalonia) and is considered the first one in this class in Spain, thanks to the project singularity, the coherence of the ecological criteria used during the designing and construction processes.

The use of solar panels gives all the energy needed, the house has an optimal orientation and the building materials give a high level of isolation.

Furthermore, all the building process was ecological. The main material used was precast wood, allowing to reduce the timing of construction to few weeks, and building  waterless, meaning no use of pollutant materials such concrete or plaster.
